I don’t know what it is about those days that just lend themselves to curling and small spaces. But today was one of them, and despite all usual claims to claustrophobia, today I looked its determined opposite in the eye and found myself craving a place like this:
Thanks to 1 Kind Design I tripped over this little cave house on the little Sicilian island of Filicudi, in the Aeolian Archipelago, and was able to sate today’s desire for an Uber Nook.
The cave itself is carved from sandstone. Photographs are by Sergio Ghetti.
Inhabitable white-washed caves of the world, I salute you!
